Delray Food
Restaurants in Delray Beach, Florida
If you like food, Delray Beach in Florida has a very good food scene. There is variety for every taste in great locations. As Delray Beach continues to grow, it should keep getting better and better. Here are just a few places to get you started.
The first thing to come to mind when you hear ‘Beach’ is Seafood. Head over to Atlantic Avenue and Lionfish is the place for you. Lionfish provides fresh-catch cuisine, grass-fed meats and local, seasonal ingredients in a casual setting. They have a diverse menu, with plenty of land fare for the one in your party that doesn’t like seafood. There is also a selection of sushi. Oyster lovers will love the $1 East Coast Oysters during Happy Hour Monday through Friday. Lionfish has been recognized twice by the James Beard Foundation.
If you are in the mood for Italian food, Tramonti Italian Ristorante, also on Atlantic Avenue is the stop for you. Tramonti specializes in all regions of Italian cooking with an emphasis on Neopolatan dishes. This is a nice upscale location. Aside from great food, they also have a substantial wine list with something for everyone.
Also, you can head over to NE 2nd Ave and check out El Camino Mexican Soul Food. This is a popular spot, with a lot of tequila for choices. Every time I go in, it is packed in here, a lively and fun atmosphere. The margaritas are top notch, with great happy hour specials from 4–7 and 12am to close.
If you want something simpler, head over to the beach and check out Sand Bar. It is right on the beach, surrounded by palm trees. It has a great Caribbean feel. This is more of a bar than a restaurant, but a nice relaxing environment. They also have games, like Cornhole, to help keep everyone entertained.
These are just a few of the places I like. Atlantic Avenue is growing, and getting better and better.
